This policy explains what personal information Aaron Tech Solutions (“we”, “us”) collects when you use this website or contact us, why we collect it, and your rights under UK data protection law (the UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018).

1. Who we are

Aaron Tech Solutions provides web and app development, business email set-up and design services in the UK. We are the “controller” of the personal information described in this policy. You can contact us about privacy at info@aarontechsolutions.co.uk or on 07413 364652.

2. What we collect

Enquiry details – when you use our enquiry form or email us: your name, email address, phone number (if you give it), the service you are interested in and anything you include in your message.
Project information – if you become a client: contact and billing details, and content you send us for your project (such as text, images and logins needed to do the work).
Technical information – our hosting provider may automatically record basic server logs (such as IP address, browser type and pages requested) to keep the site secure and working.

We don’t knowingly collect information from children, and we don’t ask for special category data (such as health information).

3. How and why we use it

To reply to your enquiry and prepare a quote – lawful basis: steps taken at your request before entering into a contract, or our legitimate interests in responding to messages.
To carry out work for you, invoice you and provide support – lawful basis: performance of a contract.
To keep business and tax records – lawful basis: legal obligation.
To keep the website secure and prevent spam – lawful basis: our legitimate interests.

We will not sell your information, and we won’t send you marketing emails unless you have asked for them. You can opt out at any time.

We only share your information where needed to run our business, with providers who handle it on our behalf, such as:

our website hosting provider;
our form-handling service, which receives enquiry form submissions and forwards them to us by email;
our email provider;
accountants or professional advisers, where necessary;
authorities, if we are required to by law.

Some of these providers may store data outside the UK (for example, in the United States). Where that happens, we rely on the safeguards permitted under UK data protection law, such as UK adequacy regulations or the International Data Transfer Agreement / Addendum.

5. How long we keep it

We keep enquiries that don’t lead to work for up to 12 months, then delete them. For clients, we keep project and billing records for as long as needed for the work and for up to 6 years afterwards to meet tax and legal requirements.

6. Cookies

This website does not use advertising or analytics cookies and does not track you across other sites. If we add analytics or other non-essential cookies in future, we will update this policy and ask for your consent where required.

7. Your rights

Under UK data protection law you have the right to:

ask for a copy of the personal information we hold about you;
ask us to correct information that is wrong or incomplete;
ask us to delete your information;
ask us to restrict or object to how we use it;
ask for your information to be transferred to another organisation (data portability), in some cases;
withdraw consent at any time, where we rely on consent.

8. Complaints

If you are unhappy with how we have handled your information, please contact us first so we can try to put it right. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO), the UK’s data protection regulator, at ico.org.uk/make-a-complaint.

We may update this policy from time to time. The latest version will always be on this page, with the date it was last updated.
